INGREDIENTS
1 egg
3 tablespoon corn starch
2 tablespoon virgin olive oil
400 gm chicken boneless
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoon apple cider
1/2 cup chicken stock
3/4 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 teaspoon garlic
1/4 teaspoon ginger
3 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoon sesame seeds
2/3 cup rice
How to make Sesame Chicken
Step 1
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame seeds and chicken stock for the sauce. Set aside. Then cook rice and steam vegetables. Set aside.
Step 2
In a small bowl, whisk an egg with cornstarch, salt and pepper and add chicken pieces to the batter. Stir well so that the batter coats the chicken properly.
Step 3
In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and place chicken pieces one by one in it. Cook on all sides until they are golden brown. Do it in batches to cook the chicken properly.
Step 4
Once the chicken is done, pour sesame sauce mixture over it and simmer on medium-low heat. Cook until the sauce thickens and then remove from heat. Serve delicious sesame chicken with rice and a side of steamed vegetables.
