CNA TEMPORARY PRN

Blount Memorial Hospital - Maryville, TN - JOB SUMMARY Performs a variety of fundamental patient care and environmental procedures under the supervision of the Registered nurse. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and/or experience: High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of CNA course. Tennessee State CNA certification. Minimum of 6 months recent experience required as a C.N.A in an acute care setting (hospital) or skilled care facility (nursing home) AND current CPR certification. Knowledge: Knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures that are applicable to work performed. Knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health and safety precautions applicable to work in a hospital. Knowledge of infection control procedures, safety precautions, techniques involved in administering routine treatments to patients. Basic computer knowledge. Skills: Excellent Customer service and Active listening. Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, e computer and learn new software programs. Ability to document and communicate pertinent information using computer and/or paper. Ability to work and remain focused and organized in a stressful and fast paced environment.
