Mixed Dal Dosa

If you are a fan of dosas, then here is a recipe that will become your ultimate favourite. This mixed dal dosa is a combination of five different types of dals like toor, yellow moong, urad, chana and moong chilka mixed with some rice. The batter doesn't even require fermentation, you just need to soak it for some while. It will give out thin and crispy dosas that are so delicious that you won't stop asking for more. It can be paired up with the classic coconut chutney, sambhar or even mint chutney and roasted tomato chutney. Be it kids or adults, everyone will love it for sure. We have just added some garlic, green chillies and salt for flavours, however, you can also add ginger, black pepper powder etc. Serve it plain or fill some potato mixture in it to transform it into a masala dosa. This tasty mixed dal dosa is apt for breakfast, lunch and even dinner. It is packed with protein and is not even high in calories. INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoon toor daal

2 tablespoon yellow moong dal

2 tablespoon green moong dal

2 tablespoon chana dal

2 tablespoon urad dal

4 tablespoon basmati rice

2 green chilli

5 cloves garlic

0 salt as required

2 tablespoon virgin olive oil

How to make Mixed Dal Dosa

Step 1

Collect the dal and rice in a bowl. Wash it well at least 3-4 times.

Step 2

Collect the washed dal and rice in a bowl. Fill it with warm water and let it soak for about 4 hours.

Step 3

Now drain the excess water. Add the dal and rice to a blender along with 1/2 cup of water, garlic cloves and green chillies. Blend to form a paste.

Step 4

Take out the batter in a bowl. Add salt as per taste and give a good mix. Use a whisk and whisk the batter for 1-2 minutes to fluff it up well. You can add a little bit of water more to adjust the consistency.

Step 5

Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle it with some oil. Now pour 2-3 ladleful of batter on the tawa and spread in circular motions to form a thin layer.

Step 6

Cook the dosa from both sides until golden in colour and crisp in texture. Make more such dosas with the remaining batter. You can easily make 5-6 dosas with this much batter.

Step 7

Your Dosas are now ready to be served. Pair up with coconut chutney or sambhar and serve.
