This drink is punchy, bright, refreshing, and perfect for warm summer days. You can easily make this recipe at home and even store it for later usage. INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup edible flowers
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 piece cinnamon stick
2 pieces ginger
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 litre water
How to make Agua de Jamaica
Step 1
Boil 500ml water along with a cinnamon stick, ginger and sugar until the sugar has dissolved. Take it off the heat, stir in the dried hibiscus flowers and let them steep for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Strain into a pitcher (If storing for later, chill this concentrate until ready to make the drink).
Step 3
Add the remaining 500ml water. Alternatively, you can add ice and chilled soda for a bubbly version. Squeeze in a little lime juice and garnish with a slice of lime or orange. Refrigerate depending on how chilled you want the drink to be. Enjoy!
