Accesso - Lake Mary, FL - Position Overview: We seek a Training and Release Writer to join our Documentation Team. This person will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining formal written, audiovisual, and verbal materials. They will work alongside software engineers, product managers, operations staff, and production support analysts to fully comprehend enterprise-level transactional software and processes. The Training and Release Writer will be a vital member of a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment. An ideal candidate will have experience writing business requirements for software development as well as with updating large documentation sets with detailed technical information. Location: Lake Mary, Florida ***Please note in light of COVID-19, all of our employees globally are telecommuting until further notice.*** Reports to: VP, Project Management & Documentation Travel Requirement: Less than 10% Responsibilities Include: Create and manage document templates Create documentation that includes, but is not limited to: Process Documentation User Manuals Release Notes Installation and Deployment related Documentation Product Features Application updates for both internal and external stakeholders Training Materials Knowledge Base Articles Enhance the quality of existing written materials by providing editing to address grammar, syntax, professionalism, consistency, clarity, impact, and overall customer focus consistent with company guidelines Identify best practices, formats, and systems for documentation and training delivery Ensure that each department-generated document is customer-focused, clear, concise, compliant, consistent, and in accordance with company and departmental guidelines Review and edit department-generated materials for quality assurance, seeking maximum effectiveness of the final product Partner with technical writers to transform technical specifications into easy to understand written, visual, and/or audiovisual documentation Ensure that all assigned documentation is clear, concise, polished, and organized and that it is stored where it can be located and easily retrieved by the appropriate audiences Identify tools to deploy and manage the document and assets versioning process Support online/website training content Qualifications: 3+ years' experience writing training documentation for software and applications Strong Microsoft office skills (Word/Excel etc.) Experience using Visio for process and logical diagramming Experience creating online help tools Ability to create content for different audiences Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well within a team environment is essential Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are vital BS or BA degree (preferably: Science or computing due to technical nature of work) BONUS: Multimedia/graphical experience (PowerPoint/video etc.) BONUS: Previous experience with software languages - HTML, JavaScript, XML, etc. BONUS: Ability to present training materials to an audience that consists of internal and external customers Perks & Benefits: Competitive compensation package including discretionary annual bonus opportunity. 4-weeks of Paid Time Off for employees up to 3-years of tenure (higher accrual thereafter); 8-hours of paid Volunteer Time Off to give back to organizations and groups you feel most passionately about; 2-weeks of paid Parental Leave so you can bond with your child(ren) following a birth, adoption, or foster care placement; Inclusive Family Benefits - access to end-to-end support for maternity, surrogacy, adoption, and fertility, with a $5,000 benefit toward surrogacy, adoption, and fertility; Three different medical insurance plans to choose from, including an employer-contributed HSA; Employer-paid short & long-term disability and life insurance; Matching 401K; Unlimited access to Udemy for Business for continued learning and career development; A flexible work schedule around our core business hours.
