Business Transformation Manager

Berkeley Lab - California - Berkeley Lab's Facilities Division has a new opening for a Business Transformation Manager. The Business Transformation Manager will play a key role in ensuring Facilities operations and maintenance projects meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. The Business Transformation Manager will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes. This position will also act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor. The Business Transformation Manager will provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. What You Will Do: Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by Facilities operations and maintenance projects/initiatives. Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications in support of Facilities operations and maintenance projects/initiatives. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders in support of Facilities operations and maintenance projects/initiatives. Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress. Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs. Provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers. Complete change management assessments. Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics. Identify and manage anticipated resistance. Consult and coach project teams. Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan. Coach managers and supervisors. Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities. Integrate change management activities into project plans. Evaluate and ensure user readiness. Develop relationship with stakeholders Track and report issues. Support change management at the organizational level. Manage the change portfolio. What is Required: A minimum of 20 years of change management and project management experience operating at and/or with senior managers is required. Proven experience and demonstrated track record of identifying Facilities operations and maintenance problems, defining and refining solutions, and implementing sustainable change in a large-scale organization. Knowledge of Employee Safety Requirements, Facilities Operations and Maintenance Management, and Construction Project Management. A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process. Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent active listening skills. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences. Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics Problem solving and root cause identification skills. Notes: This is a full-time 2 year, term appointment with possibility of renewal and possibility of conversion to career appointment, exempt (monthly paid) from overtime pay.
