Biogen - Weston, MA - Company Description Job Description The Associate Director (MS) of Key Medical Expert (KME) Engagement will be a critical role within the US Marketing Team. The AD of KME Engagement, will help lead KME/key professional stakeholder plans to activate, educate, and build advocacy to improve speed to therapy and coordination to improve patient care. Reporting to the Director of KME Engagement, this position is responsible working with the Key Account Management team, through analysis of insights to drive key initiatives for the MS Franchise. More specifically, this position will focus on development of engagement plans, design of disease education initiatives, including peer to peer strategy across channels: speaker bureau, key account engagement and key customer experience solutions that crosscut HCP audiences. The ideal candidate would have a deep understanding of HCP, KME and/or Key Account customer audiences, but also the ability to collaborate and lead/co-lead projects that focus on supporting the intersection between HCP and patient. Key responsibilities include: Building relationships with KMEs and other key stakeholders within the MS Marketplace Increase support for and appropriate use of Biogen products through KME advocacy development and implementation of peer influence programs · Support Director of KME Engagement and acts as a point of contact for all things KME in a manner that is compliant with all Biogen policies and procedures, including those regarding medical/commercial interactions · Support and/or develop KME engagement plans in coordination with Director of KME Engagement, and with strategic marketing and sales business plans · Liaise with inline marketing teams to ensure KME concerns/needs are addressed in a timely and thorough manner; and in response to KME questions or requests, connect KME to appropriate Medical affairs or R & D associate · Liaise with the Key Account Management Team · Attend all congresses, Speaker Training meetings and Advisory Board meetings (if Director of KME Engagement is not available) · Gather customer insights from KMEs at major congresses, and field visits and communicate cross-functionally · Develop KME relationships and leverages these relationships across MS franchise to ensure Biogen remains as the leading company in the MS space · Seek out information from medical and scientific literature, scientific meetings, symposia, and seminars that differentiates Biogen products from the competition · Work with internal stakeholders to ensure a contemporary view of key market trends impacting the business and is integrated into overall planning. · Maintain and grow customer satisfaction Qualifications The ideal candidate will hit the ground running through this complex product growth opportunity and produce measurable results. S/he will cross-functionally develop strategic plans and identify expert external partners to execute key solutions to improve customer experience and maximize profitable revenue growth for this product. S/he also has: · Strong track record of success in deep commercial marketing expertise, in making key business choices and leading implementation across the matrix · A proven ability to prioritize and manage complex and innovative projects and establish vision and direction within a fast moving, challenging and energetic commercial environment · Strong personal drive and be a highly collaborative, perceptive, problem solver and exhibit strategic insight and innovative agility. · Strong scientific/medical aptitude, ability to communicate complex scientific/medical concepts in a clear and concise manner. · Excellent communication skills that lead to proactive, clear internal and cross-collaboration communication Experience Required: · Seasoned commercial professional, with 10+ years of commercial experience, within those, 5+ years of marketing or marketing adjacent experience. · Minimum of 4 years biotech/pharma marketing experience. Experience working in an underdeveloped market a plus. Oncology/Neurology experience a plus. · Customer-facing or Medical Affairs experience a plus · Ability to analyze data and insight to drive key choices and define a crisp 3-year customer strategy · Work well within a fast paced and dynamic environment with an ability to have an impact in a short space of time · Must exhibit leadership skills, ability to perform in fast paced environments and ability to influence without authority · Self-starter who functions well both independently and within a team. People management experience is a plus · Strong project and vendor management track record, including resource allocation and fiscal management. Acts as lead of key vendors, including assessments and RFP decisions Education: · A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, business or other relevant discipline is highly preferred. An MBA or other graduate degree is also preferable but not required.
