QA Test Analyst

New York City, NY - The QA Testing Analyst will work with Agile Scrum Teams and other Project and Operational Support teams to support the planning, design and execution of system integration testing on simple andor complex implementations. The Testing Analyst will work collaboratively to support individual system testing, system integration testing, end-to-end integration testing, performance testing, smoke testing, and regression testing across the enterprise for releases of multiple applications. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, new development, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, etc. A successful candidate will thrive in an agile environment, be a self-starter to come up to speed quickly and be accountable to their Scrum team for continuous learning and improvement. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES middot Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Teams to understand business needs and associated product features ndash demonstrate an understanding of how the product is intended to meet the businessstakeholder needs middot Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Teams establish clear quality acceptance criteria within and across sprints middot Work with the Delivery Teams to identify and prioritize product defects based on business impactvalue using clearly defined criteria middot Review user requirements and associated documentation to support effective test plan development and expected results middot Understand system capabilities quickly and thoroughly so as to create high quality test plans and to correctly identify defects middot Execute testing processes for Agile or Waterfall execution middot Develop end-to-end testing plans, test scripts, test cases, and test reports middot Execute end-to-end SIT and associated testing, i.e., Performance, Smoke, Regression, etc., and support defect remediation by providing expected results and defect information middot Collaborate with Business users, Product Owners, BAs and Developers to develop and document test scenarios middot Document all test scripts, expected results, test execution results, etc. in TestRail or associated Testing Tools middot Review QA results with appropriate stakeholders middot Support User Acceptance Testing and help to validate user expectations middot Attend project meetings andor Scrum ceremonies as needed middot Ensure all IT policies procedures are followed JOB REQUIREMENTS Work Experience middot Test Analyst 4 years (Required) middot BroadcastMedia and Entertainment experience (Highly preferred) middot Experience working with XyTech MediaPulse andor Wide Orbit Program (also known as Whatrsquos On by Mediagenix in Europe) middot Experience working in either a Waterfall method or Agile method Knowledge and Skills middot Strong communication and collaboration skills ndash can work well with business and delivery teams to articulate objectives, acceptance criteria and expected results middot Good team player ndash work well with Business Analysts, Developers, Release Manager, Business Stakeholders to understand and appreciate individual and shared goals and objectives and, in some cases, explain problems and proposed solutions middot Experience working with release cycles of 3rd party business systems (i.e., Xytech MediaPulse, WideOrbit Program, Evertz Mediator, IBM Enterprise Service Bus) middot Knowledge of the full build cycle of web and application development, including requirements development, test planning and execution, etc. middot Experience with functional and non-functional testing middot Experience implementing automated tests in an agile integration development environment middot Experience with test data setup and management middot Familiarity with testing tools ndash TestRail, TestLink, TestFLO for Jira, Selenium middot Strong in SQL queries and databases middot Webservices testing using PostmanSOAP UI Pro middot Enterprise Service Bus integration testing middot GUI testing with business validations... - Contract - Full-time
