New Horizons Regional Education - Chesapeake, VA - New Horizons Regional Education Centers CUSTODIAN - Performs general maintenance tasks and custodial duties including cleaning carpets, floors, glass, lighting fixtures and all finished surfaces and trim. Cleans restrooms, classrooms, cafeterias and meeting rooms. Inspects all doors for loose or broken hardware and repairs or replaces as necessary. Changes lamps in various types of electric light fixtures. Perform minor maintenance within the school building. HVAC-R INSTRUCTOR - Position is responsible for instructing 11TH and 12TH grade students in all phases of HVAC-R and creating a safe and orderly learning environment. Position motivates students to develop an interest in and an appreciation of the HVAC-R field. Must possess a high school diploma and have a minimum of three to five years of verifiable experience in the HVAC-R trade. An Associates Degree (AAS) in Technical Studies with a specialization in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology or the equivalent is preferred. Must possess a Universal EPA certification and Master or Journeyman HVAC license to qualify for a Virginia Teaching Certificate to teach HVAC-R courses.
