General Production Worker

Aerotek - Vista, CA - Description: Job Summary: Assemblers will be assigned to various assembly lines that work to build various components of JELD-WEN products. This job requires working with industrial machinery and potentially glass, therefore the ideal candidate must remain alert and be committed to maintaining a safe and hazard-free workspace. Shifts vary in hours from plant to plant but may include long days, overtime, and weekends. Work environment requires standing for long periods of time in hot, loud production spaces, the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and wearing eye and ear protection along with steel-toed shoes in some plants. Duties: Rotate through multiple assembly lines depending on need/Verify the parts required for production prior to assembly/Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem/Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation and calibration equipment/Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy/Maintain and service all equipment when necessary/Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste FRAME PREP/CLEANER -They are in charge of cleaning the excess welded material. This position is a detail oriented spot. They will be using small tools. SASH CLEANER - They are in charge of cleaning the excess welded material. This position is a detail oriented spot. They will be using small tools. GLASS SETTER - Self motivated position. They set the glass into the frame and sash. Employee will be moving back and fourth on the A-frame. Needs to be able to read our production labels. BEADERS - More of a manual position. They applied bead around the glass. They will need keep up with the line. Fast paced individuals. More labor intensive. FINALERS - They will utilize small tools. They apply labels and locks. PACKAGERS - In charge of wrapping windows off the line. They will need to be able to read our barcode All candidates must be able to train on 1st or 2nd shift for 2-3 weeks. Skills: mechanical, production. assembly, construction, calipers, measuring tape, windows, doors, vinyl, glass, production, general labor, frame Top Skills Details: mechanical, production. assembly Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience needed: 6 months of production experience or construction experience.
