CROMSOURCE - California - Description: Location: Home-based, California, USA Schedule: Full time, permanent Do you want to join a team that is passionate about making a difference in drug and medical device development? CROMSOURCE, a growing CRO, is looking for an experienced, self-motivated professional with a strong and successful background in sales and business development within the CRO world to join us as a Business Development Director. You will be responsible for managing client satisfaction, encouraging repeated business and attracting prospects into becoming new clients through marketing and sales actions in order to ensure the growth of the company. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Provides input in the development of the marketing plan, promotion materials, mailings and campaigns in order to promote the Company and to make it known to a larger public Assists in the development of the Company policy and objectives related to marketing by translating the policy and objectives into concrete actions and capturing information in terms of competition, market trends and opportunities, integrating with other business functions towards the assigned accounts and regions Follows the development of markets of interest, the behavior of customers and competitors and changes in the assigned accounts and regions to provide input to the senior management Contacts (including cold calling), meets and informs Clients and prospects about the Company activities in order to obtain new Clients, project opportunities, a larger market share and to ensure the backlog contribution objective Is responsible for the drafting, finalization and shipment of the strategy document Prepares the Account Plan and is responsible for the Account Management of the assigned Clients Counsels in marketing matters in order to increase the chance of success in winning the contract Is responsible for the planning, management and follow up of the Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposal (RFPs) Leads the strategy call for preparing RFPs and is responsible for the entire RFP process including the final review and shipment to the Client Organizes, participates and follows up the Bid Defense Meetings Participates to the strategy call for preparing change orders (if necessary) Suggests corrective actions wherever necessary in order to guarantee pro-active management of Client satisfaction Keeps IT system up to date by ensuring all relevant information is adequately entered in the system Participates to the conferences/events and manages the follow up Liaises and works with cross functional colleagues to develop client strategy Participates to the regular Business Development calls Provides training to junior staff ensuring their professional growth Ensures development and maintenance of SOPs Education and Experience Higher education in scientific and/or business disciplines Previous sales/business development experience in the CRO industry is essential Fluent in English Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) Willingness to Travel Our benefits when working at CROMSOURCE in United States Full health insurance benefits that include health, dental and vision. 401k Plan with 5% company match after satisfying 90 days of employment Short term and long term disability insurance Life insurance Paid half day Friday's from July 1st to Labor Day Paid vacation, sick leave and holidays Education reimbursement Who will you be working for?
