This position reports to the Vice President, Strategic Development and is responsible for managing all phases of business development activities to support Air Force and other U.S. government departments and agencies, interfacing with potential and current customers across the Department of Defense. Duties and Responsibilities: Directs the development and implementation of short and long-term objectives for the supported organization(s) and consults with management and executive management to implement current, annual, and long-term business development objectives for the organization. Direct the development of new strategic business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities. Consult with management in pursuing business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that enhance the capabilities of the organization. Provides direct customer support to ensure GA-ASI programs and technical capabilities are thoroughly communicated and understood. Direct the assessment of potential business opportunities through activities such as market and economic analysis, monitoring competitive activity and identifying customer needs. Consults with executive management to develop and implement current and long-term business acquisition strategy and business capture plans; set quality, business, and financial objectives; and participate in the development of company goals and objectives. Consult with executive management in pursuing business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that enhance capabilities of the organization. Maintain close liaison and coordinate business development activities with GAASI Program Management and Systems Engineering staff, as required. Identify business development issues and provide leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying contract specifications. May lead progress review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance and to disseminate information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives. Direct the development of and adherence to master plans, milestones, and schedules for the organization. Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
