Job Purpose/Overview: With the higher demand for automated processes for Safety, Quality, and production needs. It is imperative that we have technicians with higher levels of automation knowledge, training and experience in order to support more complex automated equipment. Key Responsibilities: Support production with as needed day to day support. Audit current systems to ensure documentation is 100%, parts are in SAP, Critical parts are stocked and PMs are being done correctly and timely. (Area Ownership) Complete scheduled PMs and following up with Controls Shift Coordinator, Planner and/or Sr Technicians on anything that will need addressing while PM was being completed. Complete necessary documentation BDA forms, End of Shift Reports, Equipment Logs, Work orders/notifications and parts processing. Context/Scope: The PCIS team is responsible for the GNV site production controls and electrical needs 24/7. PCIS customers are Operators, Coordinators, Maintenance Technicians, Quality, Facilities and EH&S. The Controls Technician In the PCIS team during their assigned 12hr shift will respond In a timely manner to unscheduled calls, while they are completing Scheduled PMs and Area Ownership activities. The Controls Technician will complete BDA forms, Equipment Logs, SAP time/parts entry, and EOSR as required during their shift. The Controls technician will work with the Controls Shift Coordinator and Sr Controls Technicians to follow up on tasks that cannot be resolved within their shift that day, as well as any issues that will take equipment down for over 1hr. The Controls Technician with the PCIS team works with electromechanical systems. It Is Imperative to be able to work In a team consisting of but not limited to; Mechanics, Operators, MES and contractors, to find solutions, make repairs and recommendations to support the needs of our internal customers. Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Associates Degree, Technical Certification or equivalent experience. Required Experience: Work in a Team environment Knowledge of PLC, VFD, HMI, Control Circuits, AC and DC wiring panel wiring. Safety Controls.
