Instructional Design Specialist

Youth Villages - Memphis, TN - Position Overview This position is responsible for assisting with and supporting the assessment, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of trainings using proven instructional design methodology, adult learning principles for mixed delivery methods (instructor-led, web-based, and distance learning). Helps to ensures overall quality, effectiveness, and trouble-free delivery of multiple courseware projects, on time and within budget. Responsibilities Key Tasks and Responsibilities (Listed in order of importance.) * The Assistant Instructional Design Technologist helps troubleshoot LMS technical issues Assists with implementing course designs and revisions and with course setup Assists with the design and delivery of content and measurement for a broad range of technical and non-technical skills development modules Assists in developing learning content management systems (LCMS) to facilitate e-learning objectives and monitoring goals Assists in developing, designing, and administering curricula or certification processes Assists with the evaluation of training effectiveness Deliver/Assist in Training Helps support project planning and assist with monitoring training budget Provide user support for training programs and applications Work with program leadership to ensure required content is being appropriately delivered Self-direction, attention to detail, and organizational skills are also important, as he or she will help track, prioritize, and follow up on multiple projects to ensure course revisions are completed accurately, and that issues are resolved quickly. Qualifications Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or a related degree is required A minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design (analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation skills) or web-based training development is required. Possesses the technical skills and knowledge required to perform essential tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
