Housekeeper

F.D. Roosevelt State Park - Pine Mountain, GA - Position: Housekeeper Pay: $10.00 per hour Hours: 24-29 hours per week Weekend and holiday work is required. Fridays 9am - 4pm 9 am - 4 pm most other scheduled workdays including weekends. JOB DESCRIPTION Receives cleaning assignments and ensures that facilities will be cleaned in an efficient and timely manner. Mixes cleaning solutions according to manufacturer’s specifications. Ensures proper inventory control of all cleaning materials. Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, tile, fixtures and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions. Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors and the like. Vacuums, sweeps and mops all floors. Inspects and ensures that all plumbing and electrical fixtures are in working order including replacement of air filters. Checks all drawers and cabinets for items left by previous occupant. Assigned areas to include 21 cottages with two bedrooms, one bath and a fully equipped kitchen. All public rest rooms and comfort station areas. Removes soiled linens from cottages, makes beds with fresh clean linens. Restocks supplies of soap, tissue, towels and other needed items. Delivers upon request any additional supplies customer might need. Launders soiled linens in a timely manner never letting soiled linens sit for more than two days without cleaning and folding. Visually inspects areas upon completion of cleaning to ensure appropriate levels of cleanliness have been achieved. Ensures that all assigned areas are safe and secure during non-use periods.
