Senior Medical Director

Hobson Prior - Boston, MA - Hobson Prior are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Senior Medical Director to join a top biotechnology organisation on a permanent basis in the US. Our client concentrates on developing pioneering gene therapies to enable people living with chronic diseases live a better life. This position will be accountable for all aspects of medical activity relating to clinical development of the organisation's haemophilia assets. Job Responsibilities: You will be the organisation's medical expert for the haemophilia therapeutic area (this could include developing expertise in new areas as the company develops). Training of staff in haemophilia therapeutic area as required. You will remain up to date with haemophilia therapeutic area and ensure this is appropriately communicated across the organisation. Offer medical support and direction to the project teams and other groups within company as required. Leading and managing KOL interactions. Ensuring medical content of documents is accurate and of high quality. Appropriately manage and engage any third-party providers, e.g. events organisers, to ensure business objectives are met. Accountable for medical monitoring. Working closely with clinical operations, drug safety, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs. Data analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Contribute to authoring of annual reports and other regulatory updates. Presentations to advisory committees, investigators and scientific meetings. Key Skills: A demonstrated ability to create and drive an effective medical strategy. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Competent with computer software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Requirements: You will have a MD or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in clinical development (ideally from early development, through CTA/IND, to filing of MAA/BLA and post approval development). Previous experience of the development of gene therapy medicinal products or rare disease products. Substantial experience in designing and executing clinical studies.
