We are building interactive video classification, and annotation, human-in-the-loop systems, on a scene/frame level to enable efficient discovery and labeling of Amazon Prime Video data. We are using Machine Learning, Computer Vision, audio processing and Natural Language processing. The system will automatically analyze movies and TV shows across the whole video catalog to group scenes with similar content together. We will drive better discovery, recommendation, and search experiences by understanding the setting, action, and theme depicted in a scene. Automation at scale is our mission and passion. As a software developer, you are strong at design, implementation, and delivery of the software products and features. You're a hands on engineer who loves to tackle complex problems and can recognize problems solved before and use existing solutions. You're a team player who can collaborate with multiple job families; Applied Scientists to build the video understanding systems and services, and Product/Program managers to iterate on business requirements. You like to experiment, prototype, and build systems iteratively. You won't be fighting operational fires every day. This is a greenfield with no "off-the-shelf services" that can perform the job. 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
