California Custom Fruits & Flavor - Greenwood, IN - Assisting supervisor in monitoring all sanitation on his shift and delegating work responsibilities. Making sure sanitation Standard Operation instructions are followed for all equipment on his shift. Making suggestions on minor adjustments with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and daily cleaning schedule of equipment. Training of new sanitation personnel as assigned to him by his supervisor. Assisting in a hands-on manner with any necessary cleaning and sanitation efforts, up to, and including notifying management of deficiencies in equipment operation and maintenance issues while teardowns and cleaning. Meet all food safety requirements, verifying that daily sanitation documentation is maintained while ensuring a safe work environment of co-workers. This position is not limited to above description as other responsibilities may include tasks, projects, or plans given by Management. Monthly Employee Appreciation Days PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Monitoring all Liquiverters and related supply lines are properly cleaned and sanitized - this includes verifying the operation of pumps etc. Checking to see that kettles are properly cleaned and sanitized and the sanitation personnel are achieving the correct times, temperatures and chemical concentrations while cleaning and sanitizing kettle equipment. Inspecting equipment while cleaning for missing paddles, nuts, bolts or other equipment that could cause foreign material contamination or other equipment damage. Assisting in assigning and monitoring lunches and breaks Conducting necessary training of new sanitation cook candidates. Assisting other sanitation personnel to complete work assignments as needed. Completing any special projects as assigned to him by a supervisor Assisting supervisor in monitoring cook times for all batches Monitoring GMP's including hand-washing and sanitizing and wearing of uniforms. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Making sure that a safe working environment is maintained which includes the wearing of appropriate PPE and chemical handling. Verifying that chemicals are contained, labeled and stored properly. Submitting daily_temperature recording charts to the Production Manager on first shift Monitoring the functionality of the kettles and liquiverters and informing Supervision or maintenance when maintenance or repair is necessary. Ensure all documentation on temperature recording charts, sanitation of equipment lists and titrations records are accurate and completed daily by filling out daily and weekly sanitation records - making sure cleaning frequencies and test results are in conformance to specifications. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Must have necessary experience heating of kettles Must have experience with mixing chemicals and chemical concentration testing. Must have experience reading SOPs and work instructions. SKILLS & ABILITIES Must be able to use a calculator effectively Must be able to read English Must be bilingual Must show tact when communicating with others Must have good interdepartmental communication skills TRAINING / LICENSING / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must have been trained and able to understand role of position and responsibilities as they relate to Food Safety & Quality Must be trained in GMP's, PPEs and Chemical Handling WORK TASK REQUIREMENTS (SAFETY REQUIREMENTS) Ability to lift 50 pounds Must use Personal Protective Equipment when needed Proper footwear required to prevent slipping, tripping, and/or falling Must use proper lifting techniques recblid ljbqr43i5i9843goh5t6e4jj21dj9k... - Permanent - Full-time
