RN NURSE MANAGER

Blount Memorial Hospital - Maryville, TN - JOB SUMMARY The Endoscopy RN Nurse Manager is a clinical practitioner who is responsible for organizing and supervising all functions of the Endoscopy Lab including nursing care to provide patients with optimal service in a cost effective manner. Assists staff and physicians during endoscopy procedures. On-call responsibilities required. Must be able to work variable hours. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and/or experience: Current license as an RN in the state of Tennessee. A B.S. or equal experience in administrative nursing. Two to three years of progressive management experience in an Endoscopy Lab setting and knowledge of new trends and techniques in the area of Endoscopy Nursing. BLS and ACLS required. Clinical Certification required. Knowledge: Knowledge of supervising and operational activities of the facility. Demonstratesproficient technical skills and operational knowledge of endoscopy equipment. Skills: Must have strong customer service skills. Computer skills necessary for reporting and data tracking. Able to assess, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Abilities: Demonstrates ability to lead staff and work with physicians. Demonstrates strong teamwork and adaptability. Able to use critical thinking/reasoning while intervening during critical and non-critical situations.
