For more information, visit us on line at: to DIVERSITY The successful candidate will demonstrate support for diversity, equity and inclusiveness as well as participate in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment.ROLE of the POSITION The Department of Mathematical Sciences is looking for four (4) Non Tenure-Track Lecturers, commencing Fall 2021. The successful candidates are expected to teach effectively four classes of math/stat in each fall and spring semester. These four classes typically include courses such as Math 120, 124, 126, 127, 128, 132, and Stat 152. The Lecturers are required to perform all standard teaching duties, including holding regularly scheduled office hours, providing mid-semester grades and assessment data for the classes taught. The successful candidates are also encouraged to provide service to the students and the Department. During summers (approximately May 15 - August 15), there are no duties; however, there is often an opportunity to teach for additional compensation. Based on the UNLV bylaws a successful lecturer will have the opportunity to be promoted to a senior lecturer.QUALIFICATIONS These positions require a Masters degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Mathematical Sciences (or a closely related field) from a regionally accredited college or university. Preference will be given to applicants who have at least two years teaching experience at the college level with a record of successful teaching experience in lower division mathematical courses. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.SALARY RANGE Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions.
