Cpl Life Sciences - Medics - New Jersey - Head of Clinical Development Oncology Location: New Jersey / Remote Salary: Executive level basic salary Benefits: 25% bonus, Stock Options, 401K & more CPL Physicians are currently partnered with a clinical stage biotechnology company focussed on treating Immunotherapies for Cancer. This organisation is a growing presence in the US and have a small but expanding team of experts dedicated to developing Oncology treatments. An integral part of the business, this Head of Clinical Development will be the first US Physician in the team and will define the clinical trial process for the organisation. Working closely with the leaders of this organisation you will assist in the implementation of their Immunotherapy drug development strategy and will lead all aspects of individual Oncology programs. As a board-certified Oncologist, you will have a history of Oncology development in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology bringing fresh new ideas to the business. With several exciting clinical trials currently in process this individual will be involved in both early and late phase development eventually developing a Clinical Development function beneath them. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Clinical Development leader to shape the future of Oncology medicine with a business that is at an exciting time of growth. Responsibilities will include: Develop and advance a Clinical Development strategy and plan for their Oncology programme, designing and implementing phase I-III clinical studies in Immuno-Oncology Responsible for the clinical content of all regulatory and clinical documents Analyse clinical date, including safety monitoring collaborating with cross functional teams when required Develop and review clinical trial protocols and serve as the Medical Lead for trial conduct Develop the publication plan for their Oncology products in development providing medical insight into advisory board meetings and material for both internal and external use Support the Global functions to identify opportunities to explore new areas of scientific discovery Provide clinical input on clinical development, regulatory issues, and patient enrolment to clinical studies Strong outward facing presence and will support IIS and assist in site evaluation and selection process for clinical trials Provide scientific evidence generation and scientific information exchange with KOLs Requirements: US M.D. with speciality training in Oncology 4+ years experience in Clinical Development ideally with a background in Immunotherapy Broad Clinical Development expertise encompassing both Early & Late phase development Clinical expertise treating patients prior to transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry Knowledge of FDA / EMA requirements, good clinical practises, and pharmaceutical clinical development Oncology / Immunotherapy experience in a pharmaceutical / biotechnology environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Remuneration: The successful candidate will receive an industry leading basic salary with a benefits package to include the likes of a 25% bonus, stock options, 401k, medical benefits & more Contact/How to learn more: To find out more information or apply, contact Jacob Burrows via email Jacob.burrows@cpl.com CPL Physicians is a specialist US based retained search and contingent staffing firm focusing exclusively on the recruitment of pharmaceutical physicians for pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, Clinical Research Organisations (CROs) and Regulatory Authorities.
