Senior Staff Accountant

PFP Irvine Technology Corporation - Long Beach, CA - Our client in the Long Beach area is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their growing team. The ideal Staff Accountant will have 3+ years of experience with some public accounting experience in their background. CPA is highly desired, as well. Job Duties May Include: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and underlying analysis to support the month-end close process Prepare operational accounting reconciliations and analysis for various business needs Prepare various deliverables to support the preparation of financial statements and/or requests for information from all business functions as well as external auditors Assist in analyzing and providing flux analyses in service to financial statement reviews Assist and/or manage various tax filings (including but not limited to property tax, sales/use tax, etc.) and related compliance Report, document, and maintain documentation around all accounting cycles, and propose/implement best practices to add further value to the department and company Provides guidance and support to other accounting staff team members Knowledgeable in accounting systems & processes to understand and develop best practices within accounting system to create efficiencies and drive toward a more efficient and accurate financial close Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent degree 3+ years of progressive responsibility in public & private Accounting CPA License and/or CPA candidate highly desired Solid understanding of US GAAP, general accounting processes and internal controls Experience with Dynamics GP, NetSuite and/or other cloud based accounting system/ERP Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel Ability to design graphs, forms, spreadsheets, interprets formulas and produce advance application macros Qualified applicants in San Francisco with criminal histories will be considered for employment in accordance with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
