In our Studio everything is “As Real as It Gets” except there are no physical players (customers), no physical gaming chips or cashiers. No loud noises coming from slot machines, loud music or distracting flashy banners. Our dealers deal games using real decks of cards and spinning a ball on real roulette wheels. Many cameras, screens, monitors, lightning equipment, cables and wires that are mounted to each table. All that so that people from all over the world can play a game with you though the internet and a streaming video feed. We are dealing the games of the future! You'll be dealing cards, spinning the wheel, and announcing the winning results. It's a like hosting your own TV game show, except the players aren't in the studio - they're live-streaming the games to their computers, tablets and smartphones. Job Description Video Specialist is responsible for project builds and ongoing video support of our studios' gaming floor environments. Maintain and configure the studio video infrastructure (cameras, hardware encoders, converters),establish and refine build process, plan resources. Prepare and provide required reports, provide needed information to MCR and other departments Plan tasks, collaborate with other team members as necessary Keep timelines of projects. Plan and organize the video equipment maintenance and repair works; maintain maintenance / repair log. Request and order needed equipment, tools and materials Perform other duties, as asked by the manager, which are related to this position .Replace colleagues during their vacations, sick leaves and other absences. Replacement takes place during the working time, and it is not considered as additional work. Qualifications Intermediate experience working with digital SLR and CCTV cameras, including mounting, focus adjustment, lenses and ISO settings. Familiarity with video converter hardware an asset. Experience working with hardware encoders an asset. Ability to create and terminate SDI cables are a desired asset. Experience with wiring and cabling of electrical / electronic components, including soldering / splicing, is a significant asset. Experience with cable organizational management and labelling required. Experience working in commercial / industrial workspaces where construction may be taking place. Observation of health and safety best practices is a must. First Aid certification is an asset but not required at time of hire Must be able to travel (obtain / maintain valid passport status) in order to attend training / support teams in other offices. Participation in an on-call rotation for after hours / emergency support is required. Ability to contribute extra hours outside of regular weekly working hours in order to deliver on tight deadlines.
