Vice President of Human Resources

Edisto Electric - Columbia, SC - Edisto Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of VP of Human Resources. The VP of Human Resources works collaboratively, and independently, under the direction of the President / CEO carrying out complex work in a variety of HR areas. The incumbent will administer employee relations, recruitment, compensation & benefits administration, DOT, workers compensation, safety & training and other HR related matters. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or a related field required. Equivalency in experience may be considered. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or Personnel Management, plus five (5) years in a position to gain requisite skills. Highly self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and/or with limited direction, as well as, cooperatively in a team environment. Able to perform with an extraordinary degree of confidentiality, trust, diplomacy, and accuracy. Excellent computer skills, proficiency with MS Office and ability to keep up-to-date on federal and state regulations and legislation regarding HR, safety, benefit & retirement plans. Strong listening, communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational and problem solving skills.
