RTX - Dallas, TX - Job Description: The candidate shall be capable of functioning as a Materials and Process Engineering Lead on design and development program(s); providing conceptual product designs/solutions, materials selection and characterization, qualification plan/management, process development, component validation and production readiness for such products as radomes, composite structures, and specialty apertures. Candidate will organize and lead technical reviews of materials characterizations, environmental requirement verification and product production readiness while ensuring design best practices are utilized, the design is cost effective, innovative, and will perform to the customerâ??s requirements. Candidate will function in the Lead role likely working with 1 to 2 additional Materials and Process Engineers. Candidate will have the opportunity to perform hands-on product design and development activities such as test panel fabrication and/or prototype build depending on workload. Potential opportunity for the candidate to lead an integrated product team, consisting of electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and materials and process engineers, in the engineering design and development of said products. As an integrated product team lead, candidate will be capable of performing the Cost Account Manager duties for the development efforts which include tracking cost against budget, creating schedules (planning tasks) and tracking task execution against schedule to determine percent complete of activities. Required Skills: Advanced knowledge of composite materials and processes Advanced knowledge of composite technologies Hands-on testing experience of composites Prior experience working effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment Complete computer skills (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Email) Desired Skills: Prefer 8 years of experience Advanced problem solving skills Effective communication /presentation skills Integrated Product Team Leadership Earn Value Management CRAD and IRAD project management experience New business capture experience Experience with supplier management Required Education: BS or MS in science and engineering, BS and 8 years of experience, MS and 6 years of experience. This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
