You will be the right-hand person working with the Director of Smart City Solutions overseeing all facets of the business and will be focused on supporting growth for this domain. Elements of this role include organizing and driving a cross-functional team, alongside the Director, in early incubation work, including customer discovery and alignment of product development to commercial strategy. You will be responsible for translating strategic direction into actionable steps with clear operating structures. Understanding our strategy and assisting in identifying key priorities for the business will be critical to maximizing growth potential across the business. In addition to the Director of Smart City Solutions, you will also work closely with product & integration leads, project managers, and customer success leads to execute full project life cycles for our customers, occasionally rolling up your sleeves to own key deliverables. This role is crucial in ensuring that the Smart Communities team can continue to scale commercially, meet customer needs, and deliver groundbreaking solutions all while moving at startup speeds. This position reports to the Director of Smart Community Solutions for Cox2M. *Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions* * Ensure all workstreams necessary for growth operations progress forward which will occasionally require deep dives into cross-functional initiatives in product or strategy alongside the Director of Smart City Solutions * Provide a scalable approach to managing projects and mitigating risks, including a repeatable structure and cadence for projects and clear reporting to senior leadership * Create and manage goals and translate the organizations strategic direction for the Smart City business into actionable steps * Participate in identifying and evaluating new partnerships with strategic partners, including supporting price and risk evaluations * Work closely with our Product and Integration Lead to discover, investigate, and build solutions and offerings that solve customer problems and generate value for Cox2M * Assist in managing the assessment and evaluation of new business opportunities * Coordinate between a cross-functional team within Cox2M as well as boundary partners across Cox Communications to deliver end to end solutions that seamlessly blend Cox Communications core expertise in network and infrastructure with Cox2Ms expertise in IoT * Learn about and become an expert in the Cox2M Smart Communities solution suite and understand implementation challenges that may arise for each Qualifications: *Minimum * * 7+ years of experience managing programs or growth initiatives with underlying strategic objectives in a related field * 5+ years of experience if candidate possesses an advanced degree. * Previous start-up, innovation, or program experience in a high-growth environment required * Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and presentation skills * Natural curiosity and tendency to question the status quo * Strong creative problem-solving and critical reasoning skills * Communicates effectively with executives, internal and external partners, vendors, and customers * Excellent collaborator who works effectively with teams throughout an organization *Preferred* * BS/BA degree in related discipline * Experience implementing SaaS solutions that include hardware components/sensors * Experience understanding business cases and familiarity with excel models * Hands-on experience implementing process-changing technologies * Experience building or improving change management and issue resolution processes * Experience in product development or in a high-tech environment * Experience with project management tools and software Who We Are *About Cox Communications* Cox Communications is committed to creating meaningful moments of human connection through broadband applications and services.
