As a Senior Scientist of the Integrated Bioanalysis team delivering bioanalytical strategy, solutions, scientific oversight, and regulatory interactions for AstraZeneca gene and cell therapies with focus on various PCR-based bioanalytical method development and validation for quantification of oligonucleotides, DNA and RNA, GxP Bioanalysis in support of preclinical and clinical studies and Regulatory submission as part of development of new modalities. Position Responsibilities: Contribute to development and implementation of various PCR-based bioanalytical platforms for quantification of new modality therapeutics in biological matrices or address bioanalytical challenges. Lead method development, troubleshooting and validation of PCR- based assays such as qPCR, droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), branch DNA (b-DNA) or hybridization ELISA to support GxP bioanalysis of oligonucleotides, DNA, and RNA in plasma, urine and various tissues. Develop and execute a bioanalytical strategy as a bioanalytical project lead. Develop timelines and plan / request adequate resources to support critical program activities and meet key deliverables. Prepare method SOPs, validation and sample analysis plans. Analyse data, summarize results and prepare reports. Oversee the transfer and validation of developed assays and sample analysis at CROs. Manage the timelines, deliverables and quality for the data and reports at CROs. Contribute to regulatory documents, response and submission. Establish internal and external influence through presentations and publications Ensure that work is conducted in accordance with established SOPs, GLP and GCP regulation and in a safe and compliant manner. Essential Education/ Skills: PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline. Experience with PCR based bioanalytical platforms, assays and primer designs including qPCR, ddPCR, b-DNA and hybridization ELISA assays. Experience of automated RNA/DNA extraction / isolation platforms and sample processing methods for multiple biologic matrices including various tissues. Familiarity with data analysis software and statistical analysis tools. Detail oriented, good documentation practices, technical writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and work in a team environment. Knowledge with GLP regulations, GxP documentation, industry practice and regulatory guidance.
