Cognizant - Dallas, TX - Assistant Vice President, Human Capital Management Global Consulting Leader, DBT Consulting ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT GLOBAL CONSULTING LEADER, DIGITAL BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING POSITION OVERVIEW The AVP, HCM Global Consulting Leader, DBT Consulting, will be a highly focused professional, experienced with the CXO leadership suite of clients across all sectors. S/he is expert with creating and deepening C-level relationships, providing transformational consulting services that enable clients to envision and undertake a digital transformation with Cognizant. S/he is used to working in a highly matrixed organization, with large, global and complex clients (Fortune 2000), and has demonstrated expert facility with translating business needs and goals into strategic technology roadmaps to enable business growth. S/he will have a strong commercial mindset, be familiar with advanced digital solutions offered to our clients, and RESPONSIBILITIES The key responsibilities for the AVP, HCM Global Leader, DBT Consulting, are: Demonstrate expertise as an experienced business leader to lead and build a thriving HCM Consulting practice Develop and lead a team of HCM consultants Be the key C-level touch point for blue chip clients High visibility role with regional exposure to other businesses across the globe Entrepreneurial mindset and high ambition to perform and meet growth targets Sell and lead direction and delivery of strategic digital consulting projects Provide business/market context and voice of the customer to shape complex digital proposals crossing multiple Cognizant business units Grow strategic consulting projects into multi-year transformation programs that engage the breadth of Cognizant's capabilities, maintaining billable executive client management roles on those programs Promote Cognizant digital thought leadership for DBT Consulting through blogs, white papers, and speaking engagements Work within DBT and across all business units to define, create, and maintain industry-focused digital human capital management consulting solutions This role is for an experienced, ambitious business leader who would relish the chance of building out a growing business for this international brand. This is a people leadership role that will enjoy high visibility and be the face of the practice for the region and globally. The ideal candidate for this role will bring with them a minimum of ten years of directly relevant experience. Knowledge of various HR disciplines such as rewards, talent management and/or OD are required. If s/he has spent a significant proportion of career within consulting, this would be highly advantageous. S/he must have outstanding consulting experience, as well as people leadership skills. Most importantly, s/he must bring a creative mind-set and the ability to think laterally and commercially. GOALS, DELIVERABLES, and METRICS The key goals and deliverables for success for the AVP, HCM Global Leader, are: Two CxO trusted advisor relationships 7-10M USD consulting sales Actively influencing 50M+ pipeline of DBT opportunities (beyond immediate DBT Consulting practice) 10-20% personal billable utilization Strong working relationships across DBT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate degree from an accredited College or University 15 years senior level experience in IT services/consulting in publicly traded companies Demonstrable experience selling and delivering high-value directly to CxO executives Relevant technology and business experience gained in large complex organization(s) with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships) Industry knowledge in manufacturing, logistics, energy, utilities sectors gained through direct work experience Proven experience growing strategic engagements into multi-year transformation programs Working knowledge - ideally experiential - of digital processes and technologies leveraged at scale in large enterprises (Cloud, DevOps/modern software development methods, IoT, modern data management, AI, etc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's / Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field More than 20 years' experience in senior and management level roles, including people management Highly developed financial acumen with budgeting and forecasting Expert level industry knowledge gained through direct management level roles in industry and/or IT services consulting to the industry Industry eminence: social media following, published author, speaking engagements Work Authorization Candidates based in United States must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Work Location Home or office based, United States, or a remote (US) location with travel for the preferred candidate is possible.
