INGREDIENTS
500 gm rohu fish
1 leaf bay leaf
2 medium onion
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon garlic paste
0 salt as required
1 teaspoon turmeric
50 gm yoghurt (curd)
How to make Fish Kosha
Step 1
Marinate the pieces of the fish in turmeric powder and salt for a few minutes. Then, fry it lightly in mustard oil and keep it aside.
Step 2
Heat oil in a pan, fry the chopped onion with bay leaf till the onion becomes golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry with the onion on low flame. Add yogurt to it. Add 2 cups of water to it with a half spoon of turmeric powder.
Step 3
Add salt according to taste and cook on full flame. When the water starts boiling, add the fried fishes to it and cook it on full flame for 5 minutes. When the gravy becomes thick, turn off the flame. Serve hot with steamed rice.
