Paneer 65 is a vegetarian variant of the famous Chicken 65 dish. There are many stories that revolve around the origin of this delicious dish. Some say that the dish and 65 ingredients when it was first cooked and hence the name and some said that because it was the 65th dish on the menu, that is why it got named Chicken 65. Whatever the reason may be, all we know is that we now have a dish that is widely adored all over the country. So, much so, we have a vegetarian variant for it. Paneer 65 is also prepared the same way as the chicken and uses similar ingredients. The paneer cubes are fried first and then added to a delicious and spicy mix of sauces. needless to say, this dish can be the life of your party if you are about to throw one. And if not, you can always have something as scrumptious as this to make your lunch or dinner better. So, to begin, follow this step-by-step recipe below!

INGREDIENTS

300 gm paneer

2 tablespoon corn flour

4 tablespoon rice flour

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garam masala powder

2 teaspoon red chilli powder

1 tablespoon garlic paste

1 tablespoon ginger paste

2 tablespoon yoghurt (curd)

1 cup refined oil

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 onion

6 curry leaves

1 green chilli

2 tablespoon red chilli sauce

2 tablespoon tomato ketchup

0 salt as required

2 teaspoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon spring onion leaves

How to make Paneer 65

Step 1

In a bowl, add cornflour and rice flour with 1 tsp of salt and ½ tsp of black pepper and red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, garam masala, 1 tsp of lemon juice. Now add your paneer that is cut into cubes, to this batter and coat it well. Deep fry them in a kadhai and keep them aside.

Step 2

Heat some oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds to it. Now roast the garlic with the cumin seeds and add finely chopped onions along with chopped curry leaves. To this, add chilli sauce and tomato ketchup and salt. Mix it all together on high flame

Step 3

In the end, add some curd with 2 tbsp of water. Let it bubble and turn the flame to low and add the fried paneer pieces to this. Coat and combine well, top with some lemon juice, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot!
