Work Shift: 2ND SHIFT (United States of America) The position will be responsible for maintaining the boilers air compressors flotation main lift stations hot water systems and refrigeration equipment assets processes and areas as required eliminating downtime unsafe conditions USDA issues and Food Safety concerns. Responsible for daily supervision and management of the Roundsman crew; actively participate in and insure compliance with stringent plant safety policies and procedures and food safety programs to maintain the PSM program for the plant and stay in compliance with Tyson corporate standards regarding PSM.; Will be expected to maintain high levels of labor efficiency and effectiveness. Will be responsible for maintaining and managing the carcass coolers refrigeration systems in regards to the understanding of the importance of carcass condition and temperature as it applies to shrink quality yields ergonomics work compensation and plant profitability; prioritize and schedule Roundsman crew work with the assistance of the maintenance planners; responsible for verification that all equipment licenses have been renewed on an annual basis and that operating certificates are current. Will actively participate in Plant maintenance activities HACCP USDA related issues; will ensure that repairs are completed within food safety guidelines. This position will also assist TCCS with their PSM and refrigeration programs as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent preferred; prefer post-high school education. May include but not limited to special training certification programs vocational school military training and or college classes. Experience: 5 years minimum experience within industrial maintenance Boiler refrigeration field or technical related background preferred. Computer Skills: Must be competent in Windows bases software; will be expected to correspond via e-mails enter data into document templates or creating simple queries. Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in all areas of communication: verbal written and reading. Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year includes training and seminars Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for managing a group of hourly team members who will perform the necessary work to maintain the engine room boilers and refrigeration system. Special Skills: Able to install maintain repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems; Must be highly organized with time management and archiving of information; general mechanical abilities ammonia refrigeration equipment electrical 230-480 V 3ph 4160V 110V control voltage hydraulics pneumatics boiler operations water treatment general plumbing knowledge are essential; fabrication skills a plus; welding using an oxy-acetylene cutting torch a plus; general knowledge of the MMS is helpful.
