You will help the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) review and process incoming FOIA requests. RESPONSIBILITIES Review analyze and log incoming FOIA requests and outgoing FOIA responses Help collect relevant data and catalog information via FMCSA's IT and FOIA systems Review FOIA responsive records and identify sensitive information that may be withheld based on the nine (9) FOIA/PA statutory exemptions Respond to FOIA requests Prepare supporting documentation for FOIA responses Prepare required records, logs, and files for each FOIA request Prepare and/or review correspondence for FOIA responses Prepare, file, and manage records for FOIA requests Assist in day-to-day FOIA/PA operations Conduct research, analytical, and writing Ensure FOIA/PA requirements a... - Permanent - Full-time
