Counselor / Advisor

Carroll Community College - Westminster, MD - Counselor / Advisor Carroll Community College seeks a part-time Counselor/Advisor. JOB SUMMARY This position assumes responsibility for the advising of current students including academically at-risk students, develops/delivers services to help students define and reach educational goals, and provides support as needed in outreach activities to new and current students. Understands the needs of diverse students and is able to create an inclusive and safe environment for all students. It reports to the Senior Director of Advising and Retention. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: Master’s Degree. At least two years related experience. Direct community college advising or counseling experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to assist students in personal/educational development and to work with students in a classroom or workshop setting. Be available to work some evenings (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and variable hours when necessary. At minimum two evenings a week. Part time... - Permanent - Part-time
