It is located in New York State’s Southern Tier and serves more than 1,000 students in grades PreK-12. The District is seeking an innovative High School Principal who is committed to leading our talented and mission driven staff and advancing the school to the next level of academic excellence. The principal should possess a deep knowledge of teaching and instruction, as well as demonstrated success in engaging and inspiring a school community to achieve high levels of student success, while overseeing the day-to-day culture of excellence and achievement of the school. Preferred qualifications include: A comprehensive understanding of building leadership; demonstrated commitment to the education of children with varying needs and the advancement of student achievement and growth; knowledge of state assessments; data analysis; experience in annual evaluations (APPR); outstanding written, verbal and relationship building skills. The successful applicant must have a NY State certification as an SDL, SBL or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of educational experience. The successful candidate will be hard-working, industrious and a self-starter who is adept with technology and data analysis. The successful candidate will build trusting and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, inspire and motivate staff and students to perform their very best, provide opportunities for continuous improvement, engage parents and the community at the highest level and collaborate with other program-level administrators. Primary function: To serve as the instructional leader, provide direct and effective supervision for the High School campus and program, build and maintain strong parent-school community relationships and manage all activities that contribute to the effectiveness of the total secondary level educational experience, while ensuring high standards of instruction and student achievement.
