TULSA HIRING EMPLOYER - Tulsa, OK - Well established Aerospace Tooling manufacturer is actively seeking: CNC Lathe Programmer/Setup Summary The CNC Lathe Programmer/Setup is responsible for handling complex prototype programming and production level set-ups for CNC controlled lathes, including the Swiss screw machine with live tooling. Responsibilities Sets up, operates and reads and writes programs for numerically controlled equipment to perform various machine functions, such as cutting, turning, drilling, milling, reaming, boring and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces. Determines dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements per drawings, specifications or sample part. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications. Completes all appropriate paperwork in accordance with the ISO Quality Management Systems, including signing/dating job travelers and completing control charts. Clocking in and out of the ERP labor collection system diligently to collect appropriate labor hour records in line with the ISO system. Interacts with Design Engineering, Production Engineering and Quality Assurance to reach mutually agreeable solutions. Supports design engineering activities as appropriate to ensure the accurate and efficient realization of production components. Performs other duties as assigned by their Supervisor or Manager Preferred Qualifications High School diploma, Accredited Trade School and/or Associate degree OR any combination of experience and education Ten (10) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and two (2) years technical training is preferred but not required. Experience with OKUMA, HAAS, KIA, and Citizen Screw Machine is most preferred. Will consider experience on similar machine. Working programming knowledge, Mastercam and Solidworks preferred. Knowledge of live tooling, sub-spindle, create and sharpen special cutter. CMM Programmer Job Duties Perform mechanical inspection of machined parts throughout the machining process from first piece to final inspection. Knowledge of working with all conventional inspection’s tools and gauges such as (but not limited to): Micrometers, Calipers, thread gauges, Deltronic pins, comparators etc. Participate in systematic improvements of products and the elimination of defects. Programs/operates a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) working with PC-DMIS is a plus. Create NCR’s on discrepant material/parts and ensure that nonconforming product is segregated to the MRB cage. Ensure NCR’s are forwarded to MRB members in a timely manner. Ability to work with machinist to maximize the quality of machined products, and resolve quality related issues during the first article inspection and in-process inspection. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience and proficient with Programming a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) on ZEISS, Calypso. 1+ years of experience in a “MACHINE SHOP ENVIRONMENT” 1+ years using manual inspection equipment (i.e. comparators, micrometers, etc.). Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) ASME Y14.5M, Knowledge of CNC programming a plus Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and other common software High School diploma, Accredited Trade School and/or Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education Experience with ISO9001 and ISO13485 environment is a plus Knowledge of Solidworks software a plus Can lift and or move up to 50 lbs. of weight. Must be able to pass a required background check and drug screening. Determines dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements per drawings, specifications or sample part. Setup and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Perform various machine set up for other operators on production and prototype parts.
