WHAT YOU'LL DO - Global Commercial Diagnostics Director, Tumor Drivers & Resistance (TDR) Franchise AstraZeneca is seeking a Global Diagnostics Director with diagnostics expertise to join our TDR Franchise. This role reports to the Head of Strategic Marketing and Market Access, Global Oncology Diagnostics. The Diagnostics Director will partner with markets globally to ensure a clear testing strategy is in place to enable identification of patients potentially eligible for treatment, both for current and future indications. Additionally, the Diagnostics Director will lead the development of a comprehensive diagnostics strategy for any new TDR assets entering the franchise. The Director will ensure timely input into global commercial and lifecycle plans, to support in-market diagnostics solutions and strategies that enable optimal and timely treatment choices to be made. The director will work closely with commercial diagnostics leaders across our key markets to assess the opportunities and challenges in each market and develop a plan to maximize quality testing for that market. The director will also provide key input in the development and implementation of the overall Lung cancer strategy and Lung cancer screening, in coordination with the Lung Ambition team and other cross functional partners. This role will require broad internal cross-functional collaboration and matrix leadership, with multiple commercial, medical affairs and development teams, as well as teams in key markets. Additionally, an important element of the role is to develop strategic and long-term partnerships with relevant external oncology stakeholders and decision makers including diagnostic organizations, thought leaders, advocacy groups and payer organizations. Essential for the role Bachelor's degree Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or relevant medical/clinical experience Global and country level oncology diagnostics experience Significant Diagnostics/Assay development knowledge and experience Ability to manage multiple projects and products simultaneously to ensure timely, on-target and within budget accomplishment of tasks Leadership and ability to influence senior stakeholders Strong strategic thinking and highly collaborative workstyle Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, medical, market access and alliance partners Good communication and presentation skills in English Desirable for the role Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA) is preferred Track record of successfully developing and executing commercial / Dx Plans both in terms of Strategic development, tactical implementation and effective in-market partnerships and external expert engagements Understanding of drug development and commercialization processes including understanding of outcomes research /payer access issues Proven ability to generate, analyze and interpret clinical trial and published data... - Permanent - Full-time
