Stillwater, OK - JOB ANNOUNCEMENT The following position is available with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. Counseling & Career Development Manager Counseling & Career Development Provide statewide leadership for the administration of career awareness and educational attainment initiatives through guidance, counseling, and career development programs, with effective student services to create career and academic connections through opportunities and activities for academic development and career readiness. Master's degree in guidance and counseling preferred. Requires four years' experience in Career Tech, school counseling, career planning advisement, or related experience. CSCDA certification is a plus. Knowledge of career development stages and components of a comprehensive guidance/counseling program. Knowledge of career development and guidance/counseling resources and services. Familiarity with presentation software/equipment and Microsoft Office or similar software. The ability to manage multiple priorities, handle confidential and sensitive matters, and plan/organize statewide events are critical. Supervision skills, leadership skills, and professionalism are. Position based in Stillwater, OK. Some travel and a valid driver's license are required. Duties/Essential Functions: Plan, develop, implement and provide high-quality training, resources, technical assistance to strengthen career readiness and academic development. 2. Strengthen, coordinate and evaluate career guidance/counseling/advisement programs and student services in technology centers. 3. Provide training and support to career guidance/counseling/advisement to K-12 Career Tech programs. 4. Strengthen foundational support for Career Tech educational transitions, career transitions, and career readiness. 5. Represent agency and serve as a liaison with state and national entities to build partnerships and further highlight the importance of the career and academic connection through guidance/counseling/advisement with K-12, state agencies, higher education, and workforce development partners. 6. Provide data, reports, public relations, and assistance in promoting CCD division initiatives. 7. Prepare and monitor budget and expenditures for the CCD division. 8. Communicate with the field on the impact of various federal and state legislation and or initiatives on career guidance and academic development. 9. Provide direction and leadership to internal staff working with broad areas of student support. 10. Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen services to increase business-educational partnerships, career awareness, and educational attainment statewide. Salary/Benefits: $61,375.50 - $69,861.82 commensurate with education or experience.
