You will carry out data processing and analytical tasks. You will work with a multi-disciplinary group of scientists to develop new sensing and characterization approaches related to ecosystem dynamics and subsurface environmental and energy-related processes. What You Will Do: Assist in the design, setup, and conduct of laboratory and field experiments related to fundamental hydrological, mechanical, and biogeochemical processes in soils, sediments, and rocks. Setup and conduct laboratory analysis of geomaterial samples. Conduct data processes, analytics, and communicate results to the research group. Develop and conduct numerical methods to improved understanding of hydrobiogeochemical processes, such as evapotranspiration and water content dynamics. Provide assistance in sensor development, testing, and calibration. These could be prototype, one-of-a-kind, or replicated measurement systems. Write data processing and visualization codes using R, Matlab, Python, Jupyter notebook, or C++ Design and carry out QA/QC protocols. Additional Responsibilities as needed: Participate in co-authoring scientific articles and writing proposals. Supervise students and technical assistants. Manage task and project budgets.
