The successful candidate will have earned a PhD in Chemistry. The positions primary teaching responsibilities may include general chemistry lectures and laboratories (for majors and/or non-majors) as well as courses in the candidates area of expertise. The instructional faculty member shall have the primary responsibilities of teaching, research/creative achievement, academic advising, and service functions and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, the School, and the Department. Required Qualifications *terminal degree (PhD) in Chemistry or equivalent professional preparation; *educational preparation in accordance with requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and *evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.
