India case count nears 63,000, more than 2,100 dead | Economic Times

The official Covid numbers in India touched 62,939 today, Union Health ministry's daily update showed.At 8 am today, the number of the dead was at 2,109. 19,358 people have been cured/discharged.With 20,228 cases, Maharashtra continued to have the highest occurrence. It was followed by Gujarat (7,796 cases) and Delhi (6,542).At last count, ICMR had counted 15,23,213 samples for the virus.Globally, the number of cases stood at 40,18,342 as of today's morning hours, with 2,78,756 dead so far.
