Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A., one of Florida’s top 25 public accounting firms, is seeking experienced, career-oriented Accountants for its expanding Tax Services Team in the Tallahassee area. If you are a CPA or CPA eligible and have 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting and would like to be part of an exciting growing firm we would love to talk to you. Experience should include knowledge of pertinent IRC sections and regulations and be proficient in the preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary and other tax returns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand the rules, regulations and code of professional conduct of the AICPA, FICPA and the Florida Board of Accountancy Knowledge of pertinent IRC sections and regulations Proficient in the preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns Become proficient at tax research including knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships Assume responsibility for the supervision of tax return preparation engagements Benefits include competitive salary, flexible work schedules, PTO, retirement plan, insurance, and continuing education, daily selection of coffees and sodas, breakfast on Fridays. Bonus paid upon successful completion of CPA exam The ideal candidate will possess the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting CPA Certification is desirable, must be CPA eligible 1+ years’ recent experience in public accounting (1) Staff 3+ years’ recent experience in public accounting (2) Senior 5+ years’ recent experience in public accounting (3) Manager 10+ years’ recent experience in public accounting Emphasis on Not-For-Profit (4) Sr. Manager Experience working with corporate, individual, partnership, or fiduciary desired Technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff accountants is a plus Must have the ability to work independently or in a team environment Salary Range: Based on Experience.
