iPad Mini: Small & light, yet a big tab experience | Economic Times

Apple ’s 6th-gen iPad Mini has got a much needed makeover. The tablet, which starts at Rs 46,900, has a bigger 8.3-inch display and reduced bezels. The design is similar to the iPad Air launched last year. At 293 grams, it is one of the lightest tablets around. Apple has also included pink and purple variants to the iPad Mini. It is designed for easy use even with one hand. Apple has moved volume buttons to the top to ensure Pencil support. There is a magnetic wireless charging strip for the Apple Pencil on the side. The TouchID is not on the display as in regular iPads but towards the side. It takes time to get used to but works seamlessly. The display produces crisp and vivid visuals. The colours are vibrant, and the display resolution is impressive. Multitasking may be a tad difficult on the iPad mini. Apple has packed the A15 Bionic processor which delivers excellent performance. It is the same processor found on the iPhone 13 series. iPad Mini can handle all tasks — from day-to-day to rigorous — with ease. Apple has doubled storage capacity for the entry level 64GB variant. It holds 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. The iPad Mini comes with a 12MP FaceTime HD camera. With features like Centre Stage, video calls are better on the iPad. The rear 12MP camera also delivers crisp and clear images. If you want a small device and a great tablet experience, the iPad Mini is just right.
