INGREDIENTS
2 cup almonds
1/2 cup vettiver (khas khas grass)
1 cup fennel seeds
1/2 cup melon seeds
1/2 cup cashews-roasted
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoon green cardamom
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon saffron
2 tablespoon gulkand
0 water as required
0 cold milk as required
How to make Thandai Mix
Step 1
Soak everything except Gulkand in a separate bowl for 4-5 hours.
Step 2
Grind the fennel seeds, black pepper and cardamom and strain the mixture using little water, discard the residue.
Step 3
Peel the almonds and grind it with khas khas, cashew nuts and melon seeds(maghaz). Strain the mixture using little water and discard the residue. Take the above mixtures in a big bowl and add saffron , sugar and Gulkand to it, mix well. The Thandai mix is ready, it can be stored in refrigerator.
Step 4
Take 1 tablespoon of Thandai mix and add chilled milk to relish the authentic taste and beat the heat.
