Java Software Engineer

Accesso - Lake Mary, FL - We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer who will work as part of our team to develop back-end services platform. As part of our platform engineering organization, you'll be helping our clients sell more tickets, streamline operations, drive revenue and improve the guest experience. Our platform services enable eCommerce, process payments, provide identity and messaging, and so much more. The Java Software Engineer will be a member of a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of advanced deployment mechanisms and continuous integration models, and will have experience scaling applications on a global level. US work eligibility is required. Location: Lake Mary, FL Reports to: Manager, Platform Engineering ***Please note in light of COVID-19, all of our employees globally are telecommuting until further notice.*** Travel Requirement: None Responsibilities Include: Developing and maintaining Java and Kotlin microservices Collaborating with other engineering teams that consume our APIs Ownership of the full lifecycle of services, including deployment and operation in production Participating in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions as part of our Agile development process Preparedness to code, collaborate and contribute Technologies You May Work With: Spring Boot Apache Kafka RESTful web services AWS CI/CD tools Qualifications: Have 3+ years of related work experience in Java Are experienced with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), including writing complex SQL queries Have a strong grasp of OO programming principles Are familiar with XML and JSON Have written unit tests for Java applications You enjoy solving challenging problems on a global scale Take pride in the code that you write - quality first!
