ATREE - Solapur, Maharashtra - Expectations: The Post-Doctoral Fellow will help collect and analyse data to test hypotheses on the role of dog population size, demography, movement, and inter and intra specific contact rates as drivers of rabies transmission. The PDF is expected to work closely with other team members, and partner institutions. Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Veterinary Science, Virology, Molecular biology, Ecology or allied fields. Proficiency in written and spoken English, a valid 4 wheeler license, and demonstration of research productivity (manuscripts prepared, submitted or published). Desirable qualificiations: Proficiency in R, advanced molecular genetic methods (NextGen Sequencing), familiarity with ecological or mathematical modelling tools, GIS data or spatial statistics is a plus.
